The commitment to quality, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction have characterised By Carpel since the beginning. In fact, in a highly competitive market, we stand out for our attention to meeting customer needs, offering technical advice, immediate responses and prompt delivery.
The values that inspire By Carpel in terms of cultural identity, excellent products and customer-focus are also the principles that guide FAI - Fondo Ambiente Italiano (Italian National Trust).
In particular, we both share the responsibility of taking care of things. In fact, FAI has been promoting and taking care of Italy’s historic places since 1975.
The bond with the territory and the desire to give back have led By Carpel to the decision to celebrate its 50th birthday by contributing to the ordinary maintenance of Villa Balbianello on Lake Como.
One of the most beautiful and romantic residences on Lake Como, Villa del Balbianello in Lenno (CO) overlooks an enchanting wooded promontory. It is located on the outermost tip of the Dosso di Lavedo, which plunges into the waters of the lake, forming a small peninsula.
Commissioned by Cardinal Durini in the 18th century, over the years it has hosted intellectuals, writers and travellers of the Italian Risorgimento, such as Silvio Pellico, Massimo D’Azeglio and Giovanni Berchet, who were inspired by this magnificent setting.
A beautiful garden surrounds the villa, which houses precious furnishings and the Museum of Expeditions by Guido Monzino, the last enlightened owner.
It was Monzino himself who decided to bequeath the Villa along with most of the Dosso di Lavedo to FAI, which has been managing it since 1988.
